Light Educational Measure Behavior and Traffic

This mandatory course can be imposed on you if you have been speeding.
This includes the following speeding offences:

• 50km/h to 60km/h (both inside and outside built-up areas) or
• 30km/h to 60km/h with a moped, agricultural tractor or
• 30km/h to 60km/h at road works..

For higher speeds or other forms of dangerous driving behaviour, you have to take a behaviour and traffic (EMG) course or a driving ability test. This course costs about 1,000 euros.
You may continue driving during the behaviour and traffic course. It may also be that the judge or public prosecutor has imposed a driving ban. Then, of course, you will not be allowed to drive.

If you do not take this compulsory course, your driving license will be invalidated, and you will obviously not be allowed to drive.
