Bus lane

A bus lane is part of the carriageway and is separated from it by a solid line.
A bus carriageway is a section of the road physically separated from the normal carriageway.
If a lane is marked “BUS,” only bus or scheduled bus drivers may use it.
If a lane is marked “LIJNBUS,” only scheduled bus drivers may use it. Emergency services may use the bus lane; they are exempt from the RVV (Regional Road Traffic Act) if their duties require it. Taxis often have an exemption. Taxi drivers may then use the bus lane. A sign may indicate this. Other drivers are not permitted to use a bus lane.
Stopping and parking on a bus lane or on the carriageway adjacent to a bus lane is prohibited.
Article 1 of the RVV (Regional Road Traffic Act).
Bus lane: a section of the carriageway marked by solid or broken lines on which the word “BUS” or “LIJNBUS” is displayed.
