A vehicle for disabled persons is a vehicle intended for people with disabilities.

A vehicle for disabled persons may be used both inside and outside built-up areas, on all road sections except autowegen and motorways.
Regular motor vehicles driven by a disabled person do not fall into this category.

A vehicle for disabled persons may be parked in a disabled parking space, even if the vehicle does not have a disabled parking permit. However, the restriction (which also applies to cars with a disabled parking permit) that the parking is related to the transport of a disabled person applies.

A vehicle for disabled persons may also be parked on the sidewalk or pavement. This is one of the reasons for the popularity of these vehicles among non-disabled people, especially in large cities with limited and expensive parking.

If the driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is crossing at a pedestrian crossing (zebra crossing), you must yield to them.

The driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is not required to have a driver’s license. The driver must be at least 16 years old.

If the driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is driving on the sidewalk or footpath, the speed limit is 6 kilometers per hour.
If the driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is driving on a bicycle path within a built-up area, the speed limit is 30 kilometers per hour.
If the driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is driving on a bicycle path outside a built-up area, the speed limit is 40 kilometers per hour.
If the driver of a vehicle for disabled persons is driving on a roadway within or outside a built-up area, the speed limit is 45 kilometers per hour.
