Starting and driving away

Starting the engine and letting it idle takes a considerable amount of time to reach operating temperature. Driving away immediately after starting will help the engine warm up faster.
Even if your car is completely covered in snow, the CBR regulations require you to first remove all snow from the car, windows, headlights, taillights, mirrors, and license plates. Only then can you start the engine.
Letting your engine warm up while idling increases fuel consumption and causes engine wear to occur much faster.
If you’re waiting for a while, for example, to yield or at a red light, and you’re allowed to continue driving, do so gradually and calmly. Driving away at full throttle only results in excessive noise pollution, irritation for other road users, increased wear and tear on your car, and significantly higher fuel consumption. In any case, it saves little to no time at all.
