Standing still – Crossings

Standing still at or within 5 meters of a crossing is prohibited.
By crossings, we mean pedestrian crossings and crossings for cyclists, snorfietsen, and mopeds, as shown in the image below.
Standing still at a crossing blocks the crossing and causes unnecessary disruption to traffic using the crossing.
Standing still within five meters of a crossing obstructs the view of traffic attempting to cross and obstructs the view of other road users trying to cross the crossing.

Stopping at a pedestrian crossing for traffic reasons should also be avoided.
