Standing still – Junctions

Standing still at junctions is prohibited. If a car stops in front of you at a junction and you are forced to stop, this is not considered standing still, as it is not voluntarily halting your vehicle.
At junctions, however, you are not allowed to block a junction. You would have been better off stopping before the junction itself.
However, stopping at a junction to let someone in or out is not permitted, as this constitutes standing still.
You’re not allowed to stand still on the red section of the junction. Parking is not permitted in the yellow section.
So, you could argue that loading and unloading, or letting someone get on or off, is permitted on the yellow section, but be careful: you’re also not allowed to stand still if you could cause a hazard or obstruction.
