Standing still – Solid yellow line

Standing still is prohibited on the carriageway along a solid yellow line. These lines are often placed in areas where space is limited or where stopping could be dangerous.
Even standing still briefly to let someone out immediately, as shown in the image, is prohibited.

A solid yellow line along the side of a road has exactly the same meaning as the E2 sign you see in the image.
