Hatched road markings

A hatched road marking is a section of the carriageway marked with diagonal lines.
As a driver, you are not allowed to use hatched road markings. However, if you are driving in a rush-hour lane and there is a hatched road marking in that lane, you are allowed to drive over it.
Hatched road markings are often found in pre-sorting lanes, used to guide you in a specific direction. You also usually see hatched road markings when a lane ends.
